Trinley Braes

Trinley Braes allotment lies to the north of Glasgow in Knightswood, with majestic views over the southern half of the city.

In the spring of 2003 plot-holders asked KCG to provide advice about their wildlife garden area. An area had been set aside to benefit local wildlife but had become overgrown and their pond had sprung a leak.

Following a talk to the plotholders by KCG they began to draw up plans to redesign the area. KCG have provided a new pond and plants and the pond will be reinstated in October. Clearance work begins soon to remove vegetation and new footpaths will be created through the site. It will be planted in spring with native wildflowers and maintained by the allotment’s plot-holders.
