What are Greenspaces?
Greenspaces bring a touch of the countryside into the city.
They help make Glasgow an attractive
place in which to live and work.
Greenspaces can be gardens, parks, allotments, school grounds, vacant land,
local nature reserves, rivers, lochs, play areas and more. They provide places
for walking, cycling, sports and children’s play.
They also provide habitats for a variety of city wildlife including birds,
minibeasts and mammals.
What we do
Kelvin Clyde Greenspace works in partnership with local people, community
groups, schools and other organisations to improve the quality and quantity
of greenspace
in Glasgow by:
Creating new greenspaces and improving existing ones
Helping people to access and enjoy greenspaces
Raising awareness of the value of greenspace and the importance of biodiversity
Providing advice and support for suitable projects
